James Harvey

 I am Lieutenant Colonel James Harvey,
serving in the Pentagon in my final assignment as a US Army officer. I spent the
last 10 years as a Foreign Area Officer (FAO), focusing on geopolitical issues
of the former Soviet states and Eastern Europe. While serving in three US
embassies, I developed a passion for strengthening relations with our foreign partners
and earned a graduate degree in International Relations from the University of
Oklahoma. I am adept at exercising problem-solving initiative and comfortable
with adapting to new skill set requirements and interagency operations. I
intend to use the skills and experiences I’ve gathered in the security
cooperation or defense sectors. My wife Maria and I have settled down in
Springfield, Virginia after 24 years in the Army but look forward to this new
chapter of their lives.
