  • Job Title: Significant Public Benefit Parole (SPBP) Case Coordinator

    Role Description:

    • Managed the evacuation of sensitive individuals facing imminent risk from foreign adversary security services to the U.S. and third country resettlement areas through SPBP within Office of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL/EAP). 

    • Achieved the successful evacuation and resettlement of over 100 case subjects, including several of importance to U.S. national security, with no incident or loss of life; Awarded Group Meritorious Honor Award and Certificate of Appreciation 2021, U.S. Department of State. 

    • Spotted potential cases through NGOs and USG contacts; assessed risk and credibility of cases using sound judgment and integrity to determine motivation and character; developed case investigations to vet human rights abuse claims through credible sources; recruited field support partners and U.S.-based sponsors to assist in resettling case subjects; and handled case subjects using rapport to build strong personal relationships and implement creative solutions to ensure safety and security in anticipated and unanticipated situations during evacuations.
