At SourceAmerica, we are committed to serving as a connector for people with disabilities and veterans. We are currently recruiting talent on behalf of our nonprofit network who have a position as a Janitorial / Custodian in Emory, TX.
WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT
As a Janitorial / Custodian, you will be coordinating the cleaning and sanitation of federal and state buildings. May train others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION
• Part-time 6 hours per week
• Flexible Schedule after 4:00 PM
• Wednesday is Mandatory after 4pm; Friday, Saturday, or Sunday after 4pm
• Location: Emory, TX
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Coordinates and performs general custodial functions such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, light fixtures, carpet and tile floors.
• Restroom maintenance, replenishing supplies and applying cleaning chemicals as appropriate.
• Performs minor maintenance and repair work on custodial equipment.
• Clean, dust, and inspect areas such as restrooms, offices, and other facilities as needed.
• Operates floor maintenance equipment, including buffers, strippers, upright and backpack vacuums.
• Inspect buildings for cleanliness, complete work, and needed repairs.
• Maintains inventory records of building property, custodial equipment, materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Performs related as assigned.
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Foor care skills and use of industry equipment a plus.
• One to two years’ experience in custodial / janitorial services role
COMPENSATION
• $15.00 an hour
